Kate Pickard is a Project Officer with Ocean Decade Australia, convening cross-sectoral dialogue and promoting sustainable ocean governance and stewardship. With a background in Neuroscience (BSc) and Perceptual Psychology (MPhil), she now applies her understanding of complex systems to the Ocean.

Kate is experienced in science communication, leadership, and mentoring and is passionate about bridging disciplines to address environmental challenges. In her current role, Kate focuses on applying her skills in systems thinking and human behaviour to marine science, with a goal of fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration.
